The
FAR Part 150 Noise and Land Use Study has an
extensive public participation process with
committees of residents, airport users, public
officials, government agencies, and technical
consultants. By involving the community, GIAA
and PCR Environmental aim to develop a shared
vision with surrounding villages regarding land
use compatibility, develop an understanding
of probable future noise levels, and provide
for a significant, collective community input,
leading to a realistic and effective noise mitigation
program.
There are several ways offered, by this study,
to get involved:
1. Two committees will be formed - the Community
Advisory Team (CAT) and the Technical Advisory
Group (TAG). The two committees - CAT &
TAG - are formed to advise GIAA management and
PCR Environmental on the conduct and recommendations
of the study through meetings and review of
interim and draft reports. PCR Environmental
chairs the committees. To view descriptions
of their functions and all information pertaining
to each, select the links from the submenu.
