Subject Technical Advisory Committee Meeting for the GIAA FAR Part 150 Noise and Land Use Compatibility Study

Dear Airport User:

As you may be aware, PCR Environmental, Inc., under contract with the Guam International Airport Authority, is in the process of conducting a Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR) Part 150 Noise Compatibility Study. The ultimate aim of the Study is to develop a Noise Compatibility Plan that will address the noise impacts of our airport's operations and balance the requirements for an effective air transportation system with the needs of the surrounding communities.
As part of the Study we have established a Community Advisory Committee (CAC), which consists of concerned citizens. In order to address the concerns of airport users, we are presently in the process of establishing a Technical Advisory Committee (TAC).
The role of the TAC will be to provide the consultant team with feedback on proposed noise mitigation measures and to provide an industry and regulatory perspective on potential restrictions that could be placed on land uses or flight operations.
We would like to stress that it is important for your operations to be included in the evaluation process for appropriate noise reduction measures, and recommend that an individual with decision-making authority from your company attends the meeting and joins the Committee.

The initial TAC meeting is scheduled for 10:00 a.m., December 19, 2000, at the GIAA Conference Room.

Please RSVP to PCR Environmental, Inc. at 646-3560 or via e-mail to noise@pcrguam.com.
