


PCR personnel has developed and conducted various 40-hour, 24-hour, 8-hour refresher, and Supervisor classes as required by OSHA for the U.S. Navy, Government of Guam, and commercial clients in Guam and Hawaii. Topics covered included: Hazard Recognition, Evaluation, and Control; Toxicology; Hazardous Waste Characteristics; Sources of Information; Federal Regulations and the Control of Toxic Substances; Personal Protective Equipment; Site Evaluations, Contamination Layout, and Safety Plans; Quality Assurance and Quality Control Programs; Field Survey Instrumentation; Emergency Response; and Worker and Community Right-to-Know.
PCR
has prepared and conducted training classes in accordance with Department
of Transportation (DOT) regulations for more then 175 hazardous materials
workers in Guam and Saipan. Topics included: General Awareness and Familiarization
Training; the Hazardous Materials Table; Shipping Papers; Labeling and Placarding;
Packaging; Loading and Storage; Dealing with a Hazmat Emergency; Safety Training;
and Drivers Training.
