Frequently Asked Questions

  • Is my house eligible for sound insulation?
Eligibility for the Sound Solutions Program is determined by the FAA approved Noise Exposure Map. All homes that fall within the DNL 65 dB contour are eligible under FAA guidelines. Please contact our Program Office to determine your eligibility. Also, please view the Noise Exposure Map on the inside cover of this handbook.

  • How will I know if I have been selected for the Program?
There are a couple ways that you may be informed of your eligibility. Through our community outreach efforts we have personally informed homeowners that their homes were eligible for sound insulation. If you have completed an application and submitted it with your Certificate of Title to our program office, a Homeowner Representative will work with you to determine your eligibility.

  • Are there any costs to me for the sound insulation?
No. The FAA and GIAA cover all the costs associated with the sound insulation treatments, including materials and labor.
